Low Bar

You wouldn’t ask for much and wouldn’t get
That few, most modest hopes most likely shatter;
Regard the game as rigged, lack trust, no matter:
Why ask? Try to see both sides of the set.

There’s limbo dance, but there’s no stick abuse:
Low bar is tough when you don’t jump across
But shuffle underneath it, at a loss
Don’t blame the rule since options came in twos.

Be buried slabless, covered by a mound
As shallow as no landmark dares behave
Stone dead inside a dreary prairie grave
Perceived from far for all that void around.
